AUT University หรือ Auckland University of Technology มหาวิทยาลัยที่ใหญ่เป็นอันดับสามและเติบโตอย่างรวดเร็วที่สุดของนิวซีแลนด์ มหาวิทยาลัยแห่งนี้สะท้อนให้เห็นถึงการเปลี่ยนแปลงของโลก รวมทั้งสภาพแวดล้อมและอุตสาหกรรมใหม่ๆ ที่เกิดขึ้น ตั้งอยู่ในเมืองออคแลนด์ (Auckland) เมืองที่ได้ชื่อว่าเป็น City of Sail และถือ เป็นเมืองแห่งธุรกิจและการค้าที่ใหญ่ที่สุดในนิวซีแลนด์ ซึ่งได้รับการคัดเลือกให้เป็นเมืองที่น่าอยู่เป็นอันดับ 3 ของโลกอีกด้วย ก่อตั้งขึ้นครั้งแรกในฐานะวิทยาลัยการอาชีพ(Polytechnic) ปี ค.ศ. 1895 และได้รับแต่งตั้งให้เป็นมหาวิทยาลัยเมื่อปี ค.ศ. 2000 มีนักศึกษาราว 24,000 คน เป็นนักเรียนต่างชาติ ประมาณ 4,000 คน เป็นสถาบันที่มีการพัฒนาและเติบโตได้อย่างรวดเร็วด้วยมาตราฐานการศึกษาระดับสากล เน้นสอนการปฏิบัติ ให้นักเรียนสามารถนำไปใช้ได้จริงและมีสายสัมพันธ์ใกล้ชิดกับภาคอุตสาหกรรมและการอาชีพ จึงทำให้นักศึกษาที่จบจาก มหาวิทยาลัยนี้มีงานทำในอัตราที่สูงที่สุดในนิวซีแลนด์ อีกทั้งมหาวิทยาลัยยังมีสิ่งอำนวยความสะดวกแบบครบครันในระดับ นานาชาติ เช่น โรงยิม ห้องสมุด ร้านกาแฟ และหอพักภายในสำหรับนักศึกษา
